PROJECT "WOMEN POWER" 
Projekt "Sila Žien"

The "Women's Power" project is a project funded by Kent Community Foundation that helps women and girls facing a wide range of problems, such as mistrust, long-term loneliness, often due to a lack of English language skills and a close family network. Many people experience loneliness at some point, but it is more difficult if they are unable to communicate effectively, are ashamed of their language skills, lack family support due to migration or their self-esteem is very low in seeking long-term friendships. Get in touch with us to find out more.

Projekt „Sila Žien“ je projekt, ktorý pomáha ženám a dievčatám čeliacim širokému spektru problémov, ako sú nedôvera, dlhodobá osamelosť často v dôsledku nedostatočným jazykovým znalostiam anglického jazyka a úzkej rodinnej sieti. Mnoho ľudí v určitom okamihu prežíva osamelosť, ale je to ťažšie, ak nie sme schopní efektívne komunikovať, hanbime sa za svoje jazykové znalosti, chýbajú rodinná podpora v dôsledku migrácie alebo ich sebaúcta je pri hľadaní dlhodobých priateľstiev veľmi nízka.

ST NICHOLAS DAY 2020
Mikuláš 2020

This year Romani Slovak Czech Community CIC partnered with the Northfleet Central CIO to celebrate St Nicholas Day with the distribution of 350 goody bags! The bags were prepared by the Romani Slovak Community and were donated to Hive Hope Foodbank, Gravesham Foodbank and Rowhill School.

While St. Nicholas Day is not to be confused with Christmas, though similarities do exist. Tradition suggests leaving treats for good boys and girls; however, the naughty ones receive a twig or chunk of coal. St. Nicholas Day is celebrated worldwide on the anniversary of his death.

Tento rok Romani Slovak Czech Community CIC v spolupraci s Northfleet Cetnral CIO pri príležitosti osláv Dňa svätého Mikuláša rozdala 350 balickov, ktore boli pripravené Romani Slovak Czech Community CIC a venované Hive Hope Foodbank, Gravesham Foodbank a Rowhill School.

Aj keď si deň svätého Mikuláša netreba zamieňať s Vianocami, podobnosti existujú. Tradícia hovori nechavani dobrot pre dobrých chlapcov a dievčatá; nezbedníci však dostanú vetvičku alebo kus uhlia. Deň svätého Mikuláša sa na celom svete oslavuje v deň výročia jeho smrti.

HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY 2020 
Medzinárodný deň pamiatky obetí holokaustu

Holocaust Memorial Day is the day for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust under Nazi persecution and in the genocides, which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. This year on Monday 27th January we marked 75 years since liberation for Auschwitz Birkenau and 25 years since the genocide in Bosnia. We hold a flag-raising ceremony on the community square Gravesend where the Roma flag and Holocaust Memorial flag were raised. There was an exhibition in The Blake Gallery open for the public and our exhibits were on display with others for a week.

Medzinárodný deň pamiatky obetí holokaustu má pripomínať utrpenie obetí holokaustu počas Nacistického režimu a v nasledujúcich genocídach v Kambodži, Rwande, Bosne a Darfure. Tento rok sme si v pondelok 27.januara pripomenuli 75 rokov od oslobodenia koncentračného tábora Auschwitz Brikenau a 25 rokov od genocídy v Bosne. Na námestí sme vytiahli Rómsku vlajku a vlaku Medzinárodného deň pamiatky obetí Holokaustu. Konala sa aj verejná výstava v The Blake Gallery kde boli vystavené aj naše exponáty.
